Description: Rare vintage Joe McCarthy single signature baseball c. 1940. Clean near white Harridge AL ball signed by the Yankee skipper on the sweet spot along with a date of 1940. Signature rates 6/7 out of 10 with slight fading at end of last name. McCarthy is well known in this hobby for having clubhouse signatures on team balls in the place of his own and the offered example is the first vintage single signed ball that we've handled: Ball: NM, Signature: EX
