Description: Fine Larry Bird Boston Celtics professional model uniform c.1982-83. Superb original Celtics green knit jersey features "Celtics" team name across the front in white above Bird's trademark uniform #33. "Bird" lettering in white is affixed to the reverse with #33 below. Medalist/Sand Knit tagging appears on the tail front (pre-1984 MacGregor merger) along with "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Boston Celtics" tagging. Jersey shows excellent use and wash wear while retaining a fine visual appearance. Matching shorts retain identical tagging to the jersey inside the waistband with the "Exclusive..." tagging and "33" written in period black laundry marker. The shorts also exhibit fine general use/wash wear. Bird has autographed the shirt on the reverse in black sharpie. Simply stated, Larry Bird defined excellence and commitment to craft. His approach to the game was one of unique discipline and hard work which led him to become one of the most respected players in NBA history.
