Description: 1914 Polo Grounds Game complete card set with original box. Significant early game issue features actual player images on one side and interior images of the Polo Grounds on the backs. Group includes (54) cards representing (30) different players including Jackson, (4) Wagner, (2) Cobb, (3) Mathewson, Lajoie, (2) Speaker, (2) Plank and numerous other prominent HOF'ers of the era. SGC graded cards include: Jackson: 84 NM, Wagner: 80 EX-MT, Wagner: 86 NM+, Cobb: 80 EX-MT and Cobb: 84 NM. Balance of cards range from GD-NM, averaging EX-EX/MT. Accompanying original box shows some surface wear and water damage that has diminished the graphics on the cover. Original directions, scorecard and a few game pieces are included.
