Description: Rare 1973 Jerry Grote New York Mets National League Champions ring. Handsome original 10K gold ring was presented to Grote as a member of the NL Champion 1973 Mets team. Top of the ring features a diamond clustered arrangement in the form of a baseball inset onto a black field. "1973 N.L. Champions N.Y. Mets" lettering encircles the top. One side has Mets logo with "Grote" on a scroll above. The other side has a relief image of Shea stadium. Interior ring band is stamped Balfour 10K along with a facsimile Jerry Grote signature engraving. Condition grade is very fine presenting with minimal general wear. 1973 New York Mets NL Championship rings are markedly rare with the offered example being the first that we have encountered.
