Description: Baseball folk art soap carving c.1920-30s. Unique and primitive hand carved folk art rendering of a baseball player in a soap medium measures 4 1/2" tall with full batter graphic holding a bat. The carving retains its original patina with desirable unrestored color. Reverse is marked with carved artist's initials "FJS" along with the period branding stampings of "Ivory" soap.
