Description: Scarce 1945 Willie "Schoolboy" Rowe Pittsburgh Crawfords trade card. Previously undiscovered original trade card was issued as a promotional advertisement for Gus Greenlee's Pittsburgh Crawfords baseball team. Thin stock cardboard card measures 4"x6 1/4" picturing Crawfords' pitcher Willie "Schoolboy" Rowe on the front. The reverse features an original applied paper label advertising a double header between the Crawfords and the Philadelphia Hilldales. Overall condition is very strong with minimal evident handling wear. Includes letter of provenance from the Mitchell family: SGC 40 VG
