Description: Scarce 1947 Negro World Series program. Very rare original program issued for the Negro World Series played between the Cleveland Buckeyes and the New York Cubans at Cleveland. Program features numerous player images and biographical information including Trouppe, Jethroe, Minoso, Williams, and Barnhill. Both front and back covers have some light to moderate age toning with the interior remaining unscored. First example that we have encountered. Includes letter of provenance from the Mitchell family: EX-EX/MT (with note to toning)
