Description: Lot of (3) vintage Jesse Owens Negro League related items c.1940s to include: Rare trade card advertising a game between the Toledo Cubs (w/Turley Stearns) and the Pittsburgh Crawfords of the short lived United States Colored League. The game was to be played at Louisville's Parkway Field and featured an appearance by Olympic champ Jesse Owens who is pictured on the card. Blank backed card measures 4"x5 1/2": EX-MT; Black and white 8"x10" photograph of Jesse Owens preparing to race a man on a motorcycle: EX; and black and white 8"x10" image picturing Jesse Owens, James Mitchell, and others in street clothes: EX. Includes letter of provenance from the Mitchell family.
