Description: 1922 Detroit Tigers team panoramic photograph. During his earliest years as a big leaguer with the Detroit Tigers, Fred Haney played alongside the great Ty Cobb. In this 21 1/2"x10" panoramic photograph of the Detroit Tigers team posed on the field at DetroitÆs Navin Field, the rookie Haney stands shoulder to shoulder with the veteran Cobb at the center of a lineup that also includes Harry Heilmann. The image includes text that reads "The Detroit Baseball Club - American League Season 1922" above the players æ images with the playersÆ last names and positions faintly visible beneath them. Photographer's mark from the National Press photographic Service and copyright date "1922" appears faintly in the lower right. The image shows excellent contrast and clarity with no significantly distracting condition faults apart from a few light vertical creases from scrolling. Displayed in a period frame.
