Description: Leather eight spoke football helmet c.1910. Medium brown color leather helmet exhibits light general wear and retains its original elastic chin strap which has detached at one side. Small elastic forehead strap is present and fully intact. No manufacturer markings are present but the condition of this 100 year-old artifact is outstanding with perfect leather and full cotton lining. This is one of the earlier head harness styles which are increasingly difficult to acquire in decent shape: EX
