Description: 1939 New York Yankees team auto. baseball. Lt. toned Harridge AL ball signed by (23) members of the World Champion Yankees incl. Gehrig, Lazzeri, Dickey, Rolfe, Ruffing, and Gomez. DiMaggio is clubhouse signed. Sigs range from 4-8 out of 10 with the majority grading 6 or better. 1939 Yankees team signed baseballs with authentic Gehrig autographs are seldom seen. The ball bears a heavy coat of shellac and originates from the collection of former Yankees batboy Bob Pucci. Pucci served as batboy for the New York Yankees and Giants from 1939-42 and had the honor of being the batboy for the NL squad at the 1939 All-Star game played at Yankee Stadium. Copies of newspaper articles and a photo of Pucci in uniform accompany. Includes LOA from JSA: Ball: VG-EX, Signatures: Range VG/EX-NM
