Description: Allie Clark's 1947 New York Yankees World Series ring. Original ring presented to Clark in his first year as a Major League player with the World Champion Yankees. The ring is marked 14K gold on the interior band and inscribed, "Presented by Baseball Commissioner to Allie Clark". The last name "Clark" is partially missing from a minor repair to the back of the band. Each side panel of the ring has an American eagle graphic with a baseball on top. The top of the ring has a diamond inset into a diamond shaped field surrounded by laurel decor. The ring, and in particular the decoration, exhibit some surface wear from age. Size 11.5. Lot includes a detailed letter of provenance from Allie Clark along with his personal 1947 World Series program signed on the front cover by Clark (GD-VG): Ring: VG-EX
