Description: Whitey Ford 100th Win game used baseball. Toned Harridge AL baseball (faded stampings) exhibits evident game use dating to the occasion of Whitey Ford's 100th career victory. The ball is notated "100" in period blue ink across the sweet spot with additional notations on the side panel, "8 to 0 Kansas City 3 Hitter June 28th, 1958". The opposite side panel has the Yankees players listed by position (written by Whitey) to the left of their respective autographs. Player signatures include Berra, Mantle, Skowron, Kubek, Ford, and McDougald. Sigs range from 5-8 out of 10. Although there is no clear indication as to whether the offered baseball is in fact the final out ball, it is certainly likely given the primary sourcing. Ford's mark of 100 wins against just 36 losses at the beginning of his career remains to date a Major League Baseball record. Fine vintage milestone baseball with relation to a Major League record that will likely never be broken. Includes LOA from JSA and letter of provenance from Whitey Ford: Range VG-EX

Estimated Price: ($3,000.00-$4,000.00)
