Description: 1961 Whitey Ford New York Yankees World Series ring. Finely crafted 1961 Yankees ring commissioned by Whitey Ford from Balfour c.1960-70s. The ring was fashioned in the exact manner as the original 1961 Yankees World Series ring, which was stolen from Whitey Ford many years earlier. 10K gold ring has an inset diamond of approx. .55 carats surrounded by "New York Yankees World Champions" raised lettering. The Yankees logo is surrounded by laurel decor in relief on both side panels with "1961" in raised numerals. "Whitey Ford" is engraved in block lettering on the interior ring band along with "Balfour 10K" hallmark. Size 10 3/4. High quality ring representing the Yankees magical 1961 season in which Whitey Ford captured the Cy Young and World Series MVP awards. Includes letter of provenance from Whitey Ford: NM-MT
