Description: Unique Mickey Mantle single signed baseball inscribed to Whitey Ford. MacPhail AL ball with an area of lt. soiling (possibly from use) which has been uniquely inscribed with a priceless phrase from HOF'er Mickey Mantle to his longtime friend Whitey Ford. The ball is signed, "Slick You Was The Best New York Yankees Me Too Mickey Mantle". Whitey Ford earned the nickname "Slick" on account of his calm demeanor regardless of the situation. Whether it was a World Series game, All-Star game, pennant chase, Whitey always kept his cool. Wonderful and endearing signed baseball with relation to two of the great Yankees players from the 1950-60s golden era.
