Description: Rare 1927 New York Yankees team panoramic photograph. Sepia tone 10"x24" matted and framed original image of the 1927 New York Yankees team posed in full uniform in St. Petersburg, FL. Photograph remains in outstanding overall condition retaining a clean surface with only a few minimal surface wrinkles at the far left edge. Players pictured include Lazzeri, Pipgras, Pennock, Hoyt, Combs, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, who are standing next to each other in the back row. Manager Bill Huggins and owner Col. Ruppert are also pictured. Marked "Burgert Bros." photographers at lower right corner. The 1927 New York Yankees are considered by many to be the greatest team in Major League history. The offered image is one of the precious few original team photographs to have entered the marketplace with particular note to the fact that we have not previously encountered a 1927 Yankees team panoramic.
