Description: Imperial size 1926 New York Yankees team photograph which originally hung in Yankee Stadium. Huge 22"x38" framed original image picturing the AL Champion 1926 Yankees posed at Yankee Stadium including Ruth, Lazzeri, Pennock, Huggins, Hoyt, Combs, and a young Lou Gehrig. Image quality remains exceptional with uncommonly fine contrast for a photograph of this size. The photo surface has some typical light crazing and there has been some very minimal inpainting to a few small areas including a surface wrinkle at the top background area. The photo remains affixed to its original mount with "American League Champions 1926" stenciled at the bottom.
