Description: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autographed baseball with uncommon shared panel positioning c.1927-28. Soiled red and blue stitched Goldsmith "Official League" ball signed on a side panel by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in black fountain pen. Signatures are well preserved rating 8/9 out of 10. The offered baseball is only the second Ruth/Gehrig signed ball with shared panel positioning that we have handled in over 15 years. Whether by coincidence or intentionally done, the fact remains with rare exception that Ruth and Gehrig did not sign the same panel on a baseball. The ball itself exhibits evident use showing moderate soiling to the surface. Faint, nearly indiscernible vestiges of ink appear on one of the side panels, which are noted to for accuracy only. Striking Ruth and Gehrig signed baseball with unimprovable display positioning. Includes LOA's from JSA and PSA/DNA: Ball: VG-VG/EX, Signatures: NM
