Description: Pair of unique autographed baseballs from Mickey Mantle's & Whitey Ford's joint birthday party. Lot of two lightly to moderately toned B.Brown AL baseballs signed by both Mantle and Ford at a joint celebration for Mickey Mantle's 53rd and Whitey Ford's 56th birthday in Atlantic City, NJ. At the time, Mantle was working for Claridge Casino, which hosted the event. The festivities began the night of Oct. 20, 1984 for Mantle's birthday and continued well into the early hours of Oct. 21, for Whitey's. The first ball is signed "Best Wishes Mickey Mantle" by Mantle on one side panel and "10-21-84 Happy Birthday Party at the Claridge in Atlantic City Whitey Ford" by Ford on the opposite panel. The second ball is signed "Best Wishes Mickey Mantle" by Mantle on a side panel; "Mickey & Whitey party in Atlantic City 10-21-84" by Ford on another panel; "Willie Mosconi" by Mosconi (billiards legend) on another panel; and "Love Your Boots! Whitey Ford" on the final panel. Signatures and salutations all range from 9-10 out of 10. Unique and interesting pair of signed theme baseballs.
