Description: 1970 Ralph Houk New York Yankees home jersey. Cream color pinstriped flannel shirt features classic NY logo on front in blue felt with Houk's #35 in blue felt on back. Spalding tag with size "46" tag remains on front tail along with year designation "70" in blue chain stitching. A wash tag is stitched below with adjacent "Set 1 #8P 1970" flag tag. Felt nameplate in the collar bears Houk's last name in blue chain stitch. Shirt exhibits light to moderate usage wear with no significant structural flaws. Completely original and unaltered. After managing the Yankees to two World Series titles and an AL pennant in his first three years as skipper (1961-63), Houk fought to restore his team to their former glory in 1970, leading the Yankees to a second place finish in their division. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, 1973 letter from the New Yankees regarding the jersey, and letter of provenance from Don Biernat: EX-MT
