Description: 1979 Mike Griffin New York Yankees home jersey. Pinstriped knit jersey retains its original NY logo on the front and navy blue #52 on the reverse. "Griffin 79 2" is chain stitched onto a strip tag inside the collar. Wilson tag remains affixed to the tail front. The jersey exhibits evident use and wash wear inclusive of soiling to the collar area and light 'puckering' to the logo and numerals. Shadowing of the Thurman Munson memorial armband is visible on the left sleeve as the shirt was likely worn subsequently to the 1979 season. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions: EX
