Original 1961 New York Yankees program dating to the historic game in which Maris batted his record breaking 61st home run of the season to eclipse the record held by Babe Ruth at 60. Program shows handling and age wear including tape reinforcement to the spine and bottom edge. Interior is scored including a period pencil notation of "61" written in the box when Maris hit the home run. Notated on the front cover in period pencil, "Sunday Oct. 1, 1961 Maris Hits 61": VG
