Description: Roberto Clemente professional model baseball bat c.1968-70. Adirondack model #302 bat measures 36 1/4 long and weighs 38.4oz. The bat exhibits incredible use including heavy pine tar residue, ball marks, stitching impressions, and rack marks. Model #129X is stamped on the knob end with "R.CLEMENTE" foil stamped on the barrel end. The bat was originally given by Clemente to noted sports photographer Morris Berman who was an acquaintance of Clemente's. Berman was the photographer who captured Clemente's 3,000th hit in his final at bat (pictured). Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, letter of provenenance relating to the acquisition by Berman, and a period b&w image of Clemente hitting his 3,000th hit signed by Berman: EX
