Three page foldout contract is signed on the interior by Munson, Yankees General Manager L.MacPhail Jr., and American League President Joe Cronin. Signatures range from 9 to 10 out of 10 including a superb black felt tip autograph by Munson rating 10 out of 10. By the start of the 1971 season, Munson had established himself as one of the premier players in the American League. 1971 also marked Thurman's first All-Star game appearance.
