Description: 1969 Thurman Munson "Vince Shupe Memorial Award". Elegant 22" tall figural trophy with two handled cup design and a Greco Roman athletic figure on the top. Brass placard inscribed to Thurman Munson is affixed to the base. Vince Shupe was a Canton, OH area athlete who played with the Boston Braves for one year during World War II in 1945. He passed away at the age of 40. Includes letter of provenance from Diana Munson: NM
