Description: Philadelphia Athletics Cuban Tour related photographic album from the Amos Strunk collection c.1910-14. Leather bound 10"x13" photo album with approx. (175) original photographs neatly affixed to the black album pages chronicling a baseball tour which made stops in Florida, Cuba, and Texas among other southern destinations. The images range from 3"x4" to 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" picturing a variety of subjects to include A's team photo; A's player images incl. Strunk/Plank/E.Collins/C.Mack/F.Baker; Image of star Cuban player A.Marsans; Candid images of the players in a variety of foreign locales; Regional images including hotels/monuments/etc. The images remain very clean having been nicely preserved by the original album housing. Album itself exhibits typical handling wear incl. cover chipping and separation at the spine area.
