Description: Unique Philadelphia Athletics presentational warm up jacket c.1948. Diminutive youth size Philadelphia Athletics warm up jacket was presented in 1948 to six year old Ron Harner as the winner of a drawing conduced by the A's. Blue canvas jacket retains its original elephant logo patch on the front. Interior tail front has Mitchell & Ness mfg. tag along with "R.Harner 28 From Connie Mack" chain stitched onto a large strip tag. The jacket shows typical light to moderate wear including some fraying/separation to one edge of the elephant patch. The lot also includes an original typewritten letter sent by Connie Mack (unsigned) to young Harner with content regarding the jacket, and a modern era reproduction of a vintage photo picturing Harner wearing the jacket at Shibe Park: VG-EX
