Description: 1980 Steve Carlton Phila. Phillies road jersey. Blue knit jersey retains its original maroon "P" on the front with #45 on both front and back. Original "Carlton" nameplate remains affixed to the reverse. "Carlton" is chain stitched onto a strip tag inside the collar. Wilson tag with "80 1" year/set tag is affixed to the tail front. The jersey exhibits moderate use with perfect usage and wash wear. Signed in black sharpie, "Best Wishes, Steve Carlton" on the front. Carlton's 1980 season was the crowning jewel of his illustrious Hall of Fame career. During the magical 1980 season in which he led the Phillies to a World Championship, Carlton compiled a mark of 24-9 with 286 strikeouts and an ERA of just 2.34, winning the third of his four career Cy Young awards.
