Description: 1973 World Series Game #6 Ceremonial First Pitch baseball thrown out by Commissioner Bowie Kuhn. Off white Cronin AL baseball thrown out for the first pitch of Game #6 of the 1973 World Series. Inscribed by Kuhn on a side panel, "First Ball 6th Game 1973 World Series Oakland 10/20/73". In the pivotal Game #6, the Athletics were led to victory by pitcher Catfish Hunter who outdueled the Mets' Tom Seaver. Reggie Jackson took part in all three of the A's runs to force a 7th game in which the A's captured the Series. A side panel of the ball has a light signature of legendary Vaudeville comedian Jack Benny rating 5 out of 10. Includes LOA from JSA and letter of provenance from the Kuhn family: EX-MT
