One of the hallmarks of Bowie Kuhn's tenure as Commissioner was the fact that he frequently appeared at various Major League Baseball events. Kuhn believed, and rightfully so, that it was his duty to take a hands-on approach to the office, and it remains to date one of the attributes for which he is most remembered. Offered is the original beige sportcoat that Commissioner Kuhn so often wore during those many public appearances. The coat exhibits evident use and retains its original "Alfred Nelson Co., New York" label on the interior. Included with the coat is one of Commissioner Kuhn's hats which he also frequently wore at Major League Baseball events.
