Description: Leather top coffee table from the estate of Jackie Robinson c.1950s. Round leather top French Provincial style coffee table once belonged to Jackie Robinson during the 1950-60s. Table measures 41" in diameter and 18" tall exhibiting light general age wear. The table was originally in the Long Island, NY home of Jackie Robinson around 1950-55 and then later moved to their Stamford, CT home around 1956. Upon relocating to Stamford, Rachel Robinson sold a few pieces of furniture to a dealer who then subsequently sold the table to a private buyer. The table is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Rachel Robinson attesting to the fact that the offered table was once in the Robinson home.
