Description: Eddie Gaedel photograph c.1951. Rare and desirable original 7 1/2"x8 1/2" sepia tone image taken in 1951 during a game played between the St. Louis Browns and the Detroit Tigers. The game was notable for Gaedel's insertion as a pinch hitter by baseball showman Bill Veeck. The image has become one of the more famous in baseball history. The front of the photo has some surface creasing while retaining fairly strong image quality. Reverse has several printing date stampings inclusive of the original 1951 insertion: GD-VG
