Description: Fine Rogers Hornsby large format photograph attributed to noted St. Louis photography studio G.Pietzcker c.1927. Incredible 18"x22" matted and framed original image picturing Rogers Hornsby in full batting pose. Hornsby is wearing a New York Giants uniform which dates the image to his only season with the Giants in 1927. "Rogers Hornsby" along with "National League Champion Batter 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1925" are neatly stenciled in black ink at the bottom margin. Stamped by International Newsreel (appropriate dating stamp) on the reverse. Exceptional original image in an uncommon size for the era: NM
