Description: Rare baseball figural cast iron andirons c.1909. Seldom offered original set of painted cast iron baseball figural fireplace andirons dating to the 1909 era. The andirons remain in fine general condition retaining a desirable patina with polychrome paint in a red and white theme. The back stands have been replaced which is commonly seen. The offered andirons are among the more coveted folk art baseball related items and represent one of only three original painted sets that we have handled in 15 years: EX
