Description: Bill McKechnie 1948 Cleveland Indians World Championship ring. Simple, yet elegant 10K gold band has a black onyx setting on top encasing a solitaire diamond with silver drapery and swag decor. Raised lettering on silver reads, "World Champions Cleveland Indians 1948". Ring is inscribed with McKechnie's name on interior of band along with "L.G.B. 10K". McKechnie served as a key figure in the 1948 Indians Championship season, which remains the most storied in franchise history. Manager Lou Boudreau often relied on McKechnie's vast managerial experience and strongly valued his relationships with the players including the recently integrated Larry Doby.
