Description: Rare Christy Mathewson auto. letter. Typewritten letter dated February 2, 1925 sent in response to correspondence about a prospective player that was to try out for the Braves in the spring of 1925. Mathewson has signed the letter in black fountain pen at the bottom with a typewritten salutation, "Yours for Old Bucknell." Signature remains very bold rating 9 out of 10. The letter itself has some light original fold lines and a staple hole at the top left corner. Includes a copy of the original letter sent to Mathewson. Fine example of a rare and desirable Hall of Famer autographed letter as Mathewson died in October of 1925. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication: Letter: EX, Signature: NM
