Description: Rare Reach baseball equipment store display sign c.1910-15. Striking painted tin sign issued by the A.J. Reach Company to advertise its line of baseball equipment. Beautiful color graphics adorn the front of the sign picturing a large Reach Official American League baseball. The front features raised lettering and ball graphics creating an excellent visual. The reverse contains printed instructions for retailers requesting that the signs be displayed prominently in their stores. 6"x13" marked by the Meek Co., OH. Colors remain very strong with two areas of minor surface toning along the left edge and some typical light surface wear. The offered sign, along with the other four Reach signs in this auction, was recently discovered in the wallboards of an attic in Nova Scotia and is being offered for the first time publicly. Incredible rarity with graphics of the highest quality for the period: EX-EX-MT (With note to toning)
