Description: Rare Reach baseball equipment store display sign c.1910-15. Striking painted tin sign issued by the A.J. Reach Company to advertise its line of baseball equipment. Beautiful color graphics adorn the front of the sign picturing a player leaping for a baseball at the right side and a Reach first baseman's mitt at the left. The front features raised lettering, glove, and player graphics creating an excellent visual. The reverse contains printed instructions for retailers requesting that the signs be displayed prominently in their stores. 6"x13" marked by the Meek Co., OH. Colors remain very strong with some light toning along the bottom edge and one very small area of minor rusting. The offered sign, along with the other four Reach signs in this auction, was recently discovered in the wallboards of an attic in Nova Scotia and is being offered for the first time publicly. Incredible rarity with graphics of the highest quality for the period: EX-EX/MT (With note to the edge toning)
