Description: 1910 versus 1929 Philadelphia Athletics World Championship reunion team auto. "last out" baseball. On September 10, 1939, the Philadelphia Athletics played a reunion game at Philadelphia's Shibe Park to celebrate the 1939 centennial anniversary of baseball. The two teams were comprised of members from the 1910 and 1929 World Championship A's teams. This very baseball was the last out ball from the game and has been signed by (27) participants including Bender, Cochrane, E.Collins, Baker, Bender, Grove, Pennock, Coombs, Davis, and Dykes. Sigs range from 7-9 out of 10 with a few signatures having some very minor period enhancements. Ball is inscribed in Bender's hand, "Last ball at 1939 game Sept. 10th" and "1910 vs. 1929 Champion Athletics". The baseball itself shows evident use incl. several marks on side panels. Unique signed baseball from a storied event which featured the greatest players in franchise history. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication and letter of provenance from the family: Range EX-NM
