Description: Mule Haas 1933 American League All-Star team auto. baseball. Uncommon team signed baseball from the inaugural 1933 All-Star game American League squad features (21) signatures on a moderately toned and clear coated Harridge AL ball. Signatures include Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Lazzeri, Dickey, Collins, Cronin, Gehringer, McCarthy, Grove, Averill, Simmons, and NL manager John McGraw (very rare). Sigs range from 7-9 out of 10. The American League team captured the first All-Star game by a score of 4-2 behind Babe Ruth's home run which was his first and only home run hit in All-Star game play. Interestingly, NL manager John McGraw signed the offered ball while AL manager Connie Mack did not. It is well documented that Mack and McGraw had a tumultuous relationship as longtime rivals. Very fine exemplar from the personal collection of Mule Haas being offered for the first time at auction. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication: Ball: VG-EX, Signatures: Range EX/MT-NM
