Description: Scarce 1913 Boston Garter Ty Cobb. Superb exemplar discovered with the other two Boston Garter cards offered in this auction (Lots 460 & 461). The card is centered slightly to the bottom exhibiting brilliant original color and remaining free of creasing. The corners exhibit light even wear. Printed back is nearly pristine showing virtually no wear while retaining bold original contrast. Along with the other two Boston Garters, the offered card is one of the finest condition examples of this impossibly rare issue to have ever surfaced within the marketplace. Aside from the light corner wear and centering, the card literally remains in NM condition. The offered Cobb card is believed to be one of only three documented examples and is almost assuredly the finest condition exemplar of Cobb extant.
