Description: Fine Mickey Mantle professional model baseball bat c.1961-63. Adirondack model #302 bat measures 35 1/4" long and weighs 34oz. The white impressed Adirondack stampings date the bat precisely to the 1961-63 era. Bat exhibits evident use incl. ball marks, cleat marks, and a section of the back of the barrel which was missing but has since been professionally repaired. "113A" is stamped on the knob end of the bat with "Adirondack MANTLE Flame Treated" stamped on the barrel. The offered bat was obtained by the consignor during New York Yankees Spring Training in 1961. Highly desirable Mantle game bat dating to the historic 1961 era from a primary source in the period.
