Description: Rare G.C. Alexander single signed baseball from the O.S.F. collection. Official National League baseball with faded stampings and apparent game use signed on a side panel by HOF pitcher G.C. Alexander. The black fountain pen signature remains very strong rating 7/8 out of 10. Date of "1923" is printed in period ink on another panel of the ball. The ball was signed by Alexander in 1923 as a member of the Chicago Cubs and is denoted as such on the original calligraphy museum placard (included). One of only two Alexander single signed baseballs that we have handled. Includes LOA from James Spence Authentication: Ball: VG-EX, Signature: EX/MT-NM
