Ruth signed the barrel of the bat in black fountain pen rating 5/6 out of 10. Aaron signed the handle area at a later time period in black ink rating 8 out of 10. The bat itself exhibits period use incl. ball marks and a repaired handle fissure. Ruth signed bats are fairly uncommon with the offered example possessing the added desirability of also displaying a signature from home run champion Hank Aaron. Offered for the first time at auction by the family of the original recipient.
