Description: Eddie Waitkus professional model baseball bat c.1943-49. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 34" long and weighs 33.2oz. The bat shows evident use incl. ball marks, cleat marks, an area of checking to the back of the barrel, and a tape repaired handle crack. U1 model number is stamped on the knob end. Centerbrand and facsimile signature stampings remain very strong. Desirable game bat from the player who inspired "The Natural" motion picture and miraculously survived a shooting by a deranged fan in 1949. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, Inc: VG-EX
