Description: Boston Red Caps team photograph c.1882. Mounted image pictures the team posed in suits standing and seated in a studio setting. Players include Sam Wise, John Morrill, Pop Smith, Ezra Sutton, and Jim Whitney. Amazingly, Jim Whitney led the National League in both wins and losses for a pitcher in 1881. Overall size is 4"x7 1/2" matted and framed. The original mount appears to have been trimmed to the edges of the photo itself: EX
