Description: 1895 St. Paul Saints baseball team cabinet photograph with Charles Comiskey. Matted and framed 8"x10" original mounted image of the Western League St. Paul Saints team, which Charles Comiskey had purchased in 1894. The players are identified in pencil on the bottom margin of the mount. Comiskey is seated in the center wearing a suit. Marked by photographer C.A. Zimmerman, St. Paul at the bottom margin of the mount. Image has some light surface scratching and soiling while retaining good overall contrast. In 1900, Comiskey would move the Saints to Chicago to join a fledging new league called the American League. The White Sox were born and remained under Comiskey's control until his death in 1931.
