Description: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig Louisville Slugger advertising poster c.1920s. Thick stock 6"x9" mailer was originally sent to dealers for window display. The piece features a 12"x18" poster on the interior picturing Ruth and Gehrig in an endorsement for Louisville Slugger bats. The mailer unfolds to 18"x24" depicting (8) vignette images of various players including Ruth, Hornsby, Simmons, and Gehrig. One panel of the back (not seen in either display) has some adhesive residue from scrapbook removal. Includes letter of provenance from the Hillerich & Bradsby Co: EX-MT
