Description: Lot of (2) 1911 World Series ticket stubs. Pair of original ticket stubs issued for Game #1 of the 1911 World Series played at the Polo Grounds in New York between the Phila. Athletics and the New York Giants. Each stub remains very clean with the exception of a 1" abrasion on the back of each ticket near one end. Game #1 of the 1911 World Series was a classic pitching match up pitting Chief Bender against Christy Mathewson. Matty won the game by a score of 2-1 even though Bender struck out eleven Giants: EX
