Description: John Quinn scrapbook from the 1934 U.S. All-Star team Tour of Japan. Period bound scrapbook measures 8"x12" John Quinn scrapbook from the 1934 U.S. All-Star team Tour of Japan. Period bound scrapbook measures 8"x12" with colorful souvenir decals on the front cover from the Tour. Interior includes all manner of ephemera and souvenirs with relation to the Tour incl. original photographs, "Pacific Empress" newsletters, Japanese postcards, Japanese and abroad hotel brochures, John Quinn and John Shibe auto. contract for Quinn to appear in the 1934 Tour, decals, luggage tags, and misc. paper items incl. seating charts for Tour members. The inside back cover also features an affixed Japanese broadside with an illustration of Babe Ruth. The majority of the photographs and much of the paper items are affixed within the album by period archival corners with some of the decals and other pieces having been laid down on the pages. Includes letter includes approx. (12) loose original photographs in addition to the album. Includes letter of provenance from the Quinn family: EX-EX/MT
